Let's plan how to live comfortable in KL

gonna finish my degree in this coming OCT...
thats mean i will be working in the end of this year...
UK's economic seems to be "tough"...
dont think foreigner can really get jobs there...

S'pore kinda good...
might work there for few years...
living cost and earning power kinda aligned...
no big different with the working person in KL...
but it will be an essential different if i save part of my salary back in RM...
exchange rate of 2.4x...
for me the best part is...
S'pore is an advance country which can let me gain enough experience and exposure..

last resort...
working in KL...
in investment bank, bank negara or SC...
i will be able to get around 2.8k-3k salary...

what we need in kl??

rental~cant directly buy a house yet...
total of RM 400(include utilities)

Car~saga
total of 600 (repayment+some maintainance)

Insurance
total of 300 (PA,medical card and may be 36 diseases)

Food~normal restaurant
total of 1.2k

petrol and toll
total of 400

daily products&others
total of 100

**easily can cost around RM3k
no saving at all!!
hard to send $$ to parents too
hence need more income source...

for me myself...
i might be able to have 4-5 income sources..
1 main job
2 tuition
3 lecturing in coll or uni
4 insurance~long term view
5 some small biz
6 my investment's dividends (but cant touch it until it hit the target)
**optimal salary in KL
at least 5k...

if we are not alone (couple)...
situation might be better if both of you plan together and commit to it...

need only 1 car~RM600
rental still the same if live together~RM400
insurance double up dy~rm600
petrol and toll need more for dating~rm600
Food(outside food during dating only)~Rm2k
daily products~300

total will be 4.5k...
if total income is around 6k...
still kinda good to have 1.5k left for other purpose...

my optimal total salary for couple will be 8k...
can live better....
can be ready to buy a house...
can send more $$ to parents...
can have more $$ to save and invest...

btw,
we need to work hard in KL...
fight for the future...
and plan for it always one of the most essential part...
