千滾水
長時間沸騰，電熱水器中反覆煮沸的水，因水煮過久，水中不揮發性物質，如鈣、鎂等重金屬成分和亞硝酸鹽含量很高。久飲，干擾胃腸功能，出現暫時腹瀉，腹脹。有毒的亞硝酸鹽造成機體缺氧，嚴重者會昏迷驚厥，甚至死亡。

重新煮沸的水
有人習慣把熱水瓶中的剩餘的溫水，重新煮開再飲，水分再次蒸發，亞硝酸鹽含量會升高。常喝這種水亞硝酸鹽會在體內積聚引起中毒。
